Beauty Discovered

Discover Beauty was launched this week at Cosmoprof North America. The program was designed to introduce "fashion forward retailers" to new brands from around the world. I had the opportunity to speak with representatives from all the "discovered" brands and from their comments I'd say the inaugural Discover Beauty was a success!

Exhibiting at Discover Beauty: Dalton Beaute de la Mer has focused its attention on Asia and are now well established there, so are turning their attention to the U.S. and plan to launch a men's line this autumn; Rilastil, claiming the spot as Italy's number one doctor-recommended skin care line, has been in the U.S. for two years; Alo-Cell-Gel, conceived by a breast cancer survivor undergoing radiation treatment, is designed to address the problems associated with radiation -- redness, itching, etc. The organic product is said to be good for all skin types and can be used after shaving and sun exposure; Bettina Garber, president of Just Good For You, said the Discover Beauty event was well organized and successful. Her upscale skin care line features ruby crystals for exfoliation, plus pearl protein and rose fragrance in beautiful deep rose boxes; Fresh Line, from Greece, is a skin, body and hair care line that is free from animal ingredients and preservatives. More later.
