In our first webinar back in March there were similar questions about preservatives. Check out some of the comments at this post.
Sorry, the post is called Beauty Goes Green II and it was back in March. You can find March archived in the column at right.
When natural preservatives first started to be used, there were many drawbacks - from stability issues to heavy unpleasant or "not on brand" odors.
Recently there have been many advancements and we anticipate that in the near future many more technical formulations and luxurious aesthetics will be achievable due to the improvements.
Stability and anti-microbial testing standards need to be determined for the longterm use of any new preservative system used prior to putting any new formulation into the hands of the consumer.
